The story, from the perspective of one of the hikers of a couple from Frankfurt, describes the path, the Camino, the Way of St. James, from Porto in northern Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in the south of Spain. In addition to what is its main concern – namely the revelation of an actual, real love in our lives – shown in the words of the „Wanderer“, the text is also able to bring the beautiful landscape of the route closer to the heart of the reader.
Written with a light pen, uplifting, one could almost say, at least a piece of reading that is thoroughly enjoyable. On the approximately 300 kilometer long path we meet the war veteran Olly and his wife, the bizarre “Bavarian Buddha” Josef, the tragic pilgrim Balin and many more. Above all there are the presentations by Candle, the “Monque Negro”, who is on the way to show love.
